UC San Diego professor who studies disobedience gains followers — and investigators

Professor Ricardo Dominguez is an expert on electronic civil disobedience who created a software program that constantly reloaded UC President Mark Yudof’s homepage. It was, in essence, a virtual sit-in. He is now being investigated and examined to determine whether his work is an improper use of public funds and is a violation of security laws (computer hacking). Students and faculty are coming to his defense and organized a campus protest in support.
