The Irvine 11, who are currently facing charges for disrupting a speech by Israeli ambassador at UC Irvine last February, received support from many community members for their right to exercise their right to free speech. Over 200 people rallied on Saturday, calling for the students’ right of free speech to be protected and for the charges to be dropped. They are scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges for disrupting the event.
