UCR and other UC campuses consider how to finagle budget cuts
UCR has considered cutting library hours, halting or merging some academic programs, and finding ways to cut down on utility costs. UCR is expected to cut 8% or $38 million.  Similarly, UCLA is expected to cut $96 million, UC Berkeley by $81 million, UCSC by $31 million and UCSC by $27 million.  UCR Chancellor Timothy White is holding public forums so that his advisory panels’ spending and revenue reviews are accessible.
